Hungry?

What is it with kids and paper? Reggie loves to eat paper, it's his favorite thing. Quinn and I had bought something at Walmart and were going to return it. Quinn had found the receipt and put it on the table. He then went back to the bedroom and I found Reggie a few seconds later with something in his mouth. Not looking at what it was, I fished it out and threw it away. A few minutes later as we were walking out the door we found this....

He bit off the part of the receipt that showed what we were going to return. We were able to tape part of it back together but the important part was gone. We actually ended up not taking the item back because we figured out how to make it work for what we wanted, so it all worked out great.

He also really loves socks. Any kind of socks. He loves to carry them around the house in his hands or his mouth (which I've been trying to break him of, with no success of course). I often find him sitting in a pile of socks that haven't been matched and put away. He will play there forever if I let him. He is such a goof :) But we love every minute of it!

Quinn and Reggie

I am way behind in my posting because our Internet hasn't been working good enough to load any pictures. But, now that all the students are gone for break it seems to be working a lot better. Finally! Here are some pictures from before Thanksgiving of Quinn and Reggie. Reggie loves to play with dad and do everything that dad is doing.

Reggie helps dad shave.

And sometimes Dad helps Reggie shave :)
(haha, it tickles him, he loves it)

Here he is sporting his BYU Idaho football jersey.

Reggie already loves football. He loves to sit in the laundry basket and watch his movies and he really likes holding the football in his lap while he watches. It's so cute.

Caramel Apples

A week and a half ago we had some friends over to make caramel apples. I had gotten a recipe to make homemade caramel, and it turned out very hard. The apples looked delicious but we couldn't hardly eat them. So this last Sunday I decided to try again. This time they turned out delicious. We had the Johnson's and the Olligschlager's over to help us.

Here are our beautiful apples. They were so delicious that Quinn and I made a few more of them the next night.

Here's Reggie playing with dad so that I could keep things going in the kitchen. It was a little past his bed time but he still had fun. I honestly think he was a little bummed when he got to eat crackers when everyone else was eating caramel apples. :(

This is Brigitte and Emily with their little boys, Noah and Lincoln.

Here is Owen enjoying his treat. I love it when kids eat treats and they leave the evidence all over their face.

Halloween

Okay, so I am a little late on my posting. We have been so busy that I haven't been posting much. So I am going to try to do a little catch up. Reggie and I went back to Baker for the week of Halloween. Unfortunately, we didn't take a whole lot of pictures but here are some pictures from before we left.

Reggie loved the suitcase.

He would climb in, empty some things out and then...

climb out. He did this over and over again, it was so funny to see.

Here we are carving our pumpkin. Reggie loved playing in the pumpkin guts.

A bath was a must after the pumpkin carving, which didn't upset Reggie, he loves his bath time.

Our final product.

Here we are getting ready to go to our ward Halloween party. Reggie was a monkey and Quinn was Indiana Jones.

Quinn is getting ready to start the pie eating contest.

Gross, Quinn ate the pie so fast, but I think he got a lot up his nose too! Yuck! They didn't really name a winner for the contest, there was 2 or 3 of the guys that were really close.

Well, that's it for our Halloween festivities, too bad it's almost Thanks Giving before I shared them with you all.

Learning to Walk

Here is a quick video of Reggie walking. I mostly just wanted to post this so that our families could see the difference from just last week. He still wobbles a lot but he's getting there. It's so fun to see him learn and grow :)

Fun with Dad

This week has been pretty crazy. For the most part Reggie has been sick all week. Despite being sick he has still done some pretty cute and funny things. It was obvious that he didn't feel good when he wasn't trying to get into every little thing. He still played, but very quietly and very mellow. It was a different side of Reggie I haven't really seen before. The one good thing about him not feeling well, is that he would sleep all cuddled up in my arms. :) I really love it when he snuggles with me but unfortunately he only does it when he is sick. I'll give up a cuddle bug for my happy wild Reggie any day :) Most of these pictures are of when he was sick, but not all of them. The first few were before.

I love this picture, they are both laughing and just having a great time together. It's so sweet when Quinn gets Reggie laughing so hard.

Here he is with our pumkin that we have yet to carve. We were going to carve it this last weekend but Reggie was sick and we wanted him to enjoy it. We couldn't even really get him to smile, we felt so bad for him.

Quinn bought a pen that had a laser light on it. Reggie loves following that light. He can't figure out why he can't pick it up. Even though he wasn't feeling well he kept following it around everywhere. It was pretty cute.

I found him just hanging out under one of our kitchen chairs. I don't know if you can see it, but he has his legs wrapped around part of the chair. He stayed there like that for a long time, he was just in a zoned out mood.

He's practicing his milk drinking so that him and Quinn can have a contest. :) Quinn rinsed out a milk jug and gave it to Reggie and it has become a favorite toy. I am done spending money on toys, I buy enough milk each week (for Quinn, not Reggie) to keep Reggie with plenty of toys.

This is Reggie refusing to let me finish dressing him. Aunt Lisa bought him this cute outfit and he loves it, but he just hates getting dressed, so I let him play for a while without buttoning it.

This is how I knew Reggie was starting to feel better. There was diapers everywhere! When I got the camera out to take the pictures he just looked at me and laughed. Oh how I had missed that laugh, I couldn't even be mad.

Reggie Update

I have been such a slacker lately and haven't been posting any pictures. So here are just some random pictures of Reggie that have been taken in the last few weeks.

This is Reggie's new toy. At first he just wanted to chew on the toys that came with it, but it didn't take long before he got up and started walking with it.

Now he is a walking machine (with the help of his toy of course)

Reggie was helping dad do his home work. Mostly Reggie just wanted to play with the computer, he could care less about the homework.

okay, so this is really hard to see but Reggie put his bottle in this little bucket and was holding the bucket so that he could drink his bottle. It was pretty funny looking. What a goof :)

Reggie was rebelling against going to church. I always try to get a picture of him in his church clothes and it never fails he is always crying for some reason when I take the picture. Even though he is upset, I still think he is cute.

Twice a week Reggie plays with his friend Austin. It has been so fun for them to learn how to play with each other. Reggie is learning how to not be so rough and to give Austin some space. It is really working out great.

This is Reggie putting himself in timeout. He wasn't really in trouble, but he crawled into the kitchen and sat in the corner of the cabinets. He must have sat there for 5 minutes just looking at me, it was pretty funny. He never sits still that long, I had to get a picture.

This is the I am so tired but am fighting taking a nap look.

Ducks and School

On Saturday we enjoyed the last Saturday together before school starts and schedules got crazy. We took Reggie to the Nature Park to feed the ducks. Reggie and I went there the night before with some friends but Quinn was at work. So we decided to go again so that Quinn could help Reggie feed the ducks since I am kind of afraid of them.... I know, I'm a wimp.

Reggie was enjoying watching the ducks follow Quinn around. He was laughing and smiling. I tried to get close enough so that you could see him better, but once again I am scared of them. After taking a few pictures I noticed Reggie had his hand in his mouth. Quinn was holding Reggie in one arm and holding the bread in that same hand. Well Reggie figured out that there was bread within arms reach and he decided that he needed a little snack.

Quinn was trying to be funny and he kept throwing bread towards me so that the ducks would follow me around looking for food. This particular duck was chasing me most of the time and made it really hard to get pictures of Reggie.

We had to get a picture with me and Reggie since it seems that I am always the one behind the camera, we hardly have any with me in them.

Monday was the first day of school. We were all dreading the start of the semester because we will miss having Quinn around so much.
